Re: Chromebook Support

As far as my google-skills goes the only answer I found was that you can only run apps on the chromebook(s), and no "actual" programs.

Anyone's welcome to prove me wrong though.

Re: Elvenrunes

Compared to elvenrunes it lacks the ability to post logs and a board/wall for short messages ("venting").

If there's time, knowledge and possibility a friendlier interface, more representative of MUME.

Re: Death Of MUME?

Having been around a little longer than Askarrd, say 15 years, I recently came back and started to group with completely unknown and/or new players. I'm glad to see there's some activity and some people sticking to it. No more than 1-2 days ago there was a mortal who completely lost it after loosing...

Official forum.

Seeing how elvenrunes have been down for the past couple of days, and that there is a functioning forum here, I wonder what you the players would like to be added? I don't have any power per se to implement anything, but starting a discussion is one step in the right direction. Off the bat I assume ...

You don't get more convincing only because you say the same thing over, and over, and over again, Razoor. :|

Find the path is extremely tideous to use, practially impossible to use efficiently. Get track.

Re: whining

Sorry about your death. There are easy tricks to avoid being backstabbed, and I believe that partly because of that is why thieves/scouts can inflict so much damage with one attack. Check "help search" and "help flush" for more information. I hope you'll enjoy Fangorn and Lothlorien in future advent...

Re: Recent changes, a bright future ahead

Finwe, that's not true, unless you'd track in circles until the tracks tick, and that way realize where the player finally hid. I include "where" as a track skill here as well, because tracking is what you actually do. Being observant doesn't cut it. Also, I had the impression that we were discussin...

If the guy circle-hide or hide every third room you will have to re-track. Come on!

Re: Recent changes, a bright future ahead

Don't you just need to know when to use flee vs. escape? Update your skills and way of thinking a little bit. I can also point out that with my minor experience with thieves, I never had any problems with practises. I always stayed as pure as possible aswell. Isn't it you warcombos who suffer here, ...

This was obviously the point of the change. I was pro Mandos sleep, but I guess I can live with this change.

Re: Safespots

As far as I know olog-hais are immune to the sun, and the "who olog" is actually incorrect, as our playerbase of trolls are not actual ologs, same goes for uruk-hais. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: Some Sleeping Inconveniences

You can't change descriptions while asleep because this was abused by slept players some years ago. Write your desc. in notepad while asleep and paste it in when you wake up. It's not that annoying, and I'm sure you'll agree that the there are more important things to focus on.

Re: Testmume feedback on scout changes revision 2

I tested escape/flee/sneak briefly as an orc scout, 100% or higher in the scout guild. I tried it out at foreman, huge stone trolls x3, and GC shatteredbranches, all rooms with one exit out and multiple enemies. I found escape slightly more hpdraining than flee, and the fail-ratio felt like it was c...

Re: Test-mume feedback on scout changes

You're so unbelievably biased that it's difficult to take you seriously, Razoor. -- I found the big danger with test-escape the failing ratio. Let's say you use it in a PK situation, and you want to be sure that you actually escape, so you send it three-four times to mume. If you escape on your firs...

Re: What would you change?

If there's one major thing to be changed, I honestly believe that the limited rerolls fall pretty far down the scale. Maybe 5% of my characters are well statted and practised, so I if anyone would gain from this change, but it feels like a bad idea when we get the opportunity to change something sig...
