Re: Test-mume feedback on scout changes
Anyone here know why they changed search/flush in the first place? The old flush/search was instant and people abused it. You could for example start flush quick and instantly hit enter. You would still lush the sneaker out and would have to stay in delay. (which is often the case of escaped victim...

Re: Test-mume feedback on scout changes
Yes, i think escape should not fail at all. or rather fail, but not dependant on amount of enemies. This is a bit harsh.
The main problem is the sneak delay atm. and the habit to hit the flee key :-/

Re: Test-mume feedback on scout changes
Razoor, have you tried the changes yourself or are you just discussing?
This change makes thieves harder to play in closeables. At the moment, i agree, it makes them too hard, but generally the change is a movement in the right direction.

Re: Test-mume feedback on scout changes
Well, imho thieves used to be too powerful in multiple rooms. The fix is required. I really don't think cases of for example Rasta's Tbad rambling 1 vs 5 etc show a good balance of the class. I thought that xping with escape is perfectly fine, though i had no failed escapes :-/ I think if we must (a...

Re: [News] Mandos sleep
The problem is that the change is very unfair to casters. A warrior CAN still go loot his corpse with the -127ob and -127db, but a mage or BN can NOT pray and run to get his corpse without any mana. The warrior is still sitting on his 400hp and 150 moves, but the caster has ~150-200 and 90 moves. J...

Re: [News] Age modifiers
For casters, and especially combos, the change seems to be negative. I'll have to play some to say if there is any significant effect on more pure casters but I agree with Azazello that combos might have been made a lot more annoying (more time has to be spent regening) with this. Overall a good ch...

Re: [News] Mandos sleep
You are missing the fact that a solo player now has a chance to retrieve his corpse without enlisting someone to help by technically illegal means (IM or asking for help on MUME with another character). In my book, this change is already good, even though it may not yet be complete. Hehe, i guess y...

Re: [News] Age modifiers
Looks like warrior heavy combos got a bit of a boost, but you would know better than I. Warrior heavy combos are always short on mana. :-( Prior to the change the best age for combos used to be a third+, fourth age. The trick was to catch the age where you are still almost top as warrior (nice warr...

Re: [News] Mandos sleep
i'am not sure i understand whats the point of the whole thing. :-/ I thought mandos sleep was there to a) Stop people spamdying and spam-going-back in action, which is quite "unrealistic" so to say b) prevent abuses and spam-mobrips. The penalties part prevents players from instantly going back in a...
