Re: [HowTo] Advanced Character Statistics
I'm a bit curious as to why you label a stat set with 12 int and 10 per "tracking"... Will that even give enough track to see enemy tracks older than 2 ticks? That particular combination of stats gives a 85% skill in track which (from what I've noticed) people consider to be the least playable. Thi...

Re: [HowTo] Advanced Character Statistics
Jahara, is your first example actually possible? What are the limitations on training attributes? The stat changes in that example are well beyond what a partial reroll can give you. I believe that the limitation is this same "difference" value as when performing a partial reroll such that it can n...

Re: Let's put together a newbie guide.
I was planning on creating a newbie guide but since it is such a huge undertaking I decided to wait for the official Wiki to turn up so everyone else could help along ;) I already started a links thread a while ago in anticipation for the various newbie guides that will have to be created. My assump...

I also would reduce the amount of xp and age lost upon nearly all forms of death to more sane values.

Re: Poll: # of posts per page
Let me remind you that this means if the last post is number (# of posts per page) - 1 then you have to load that many posts before being able to view the last post
Unlimited might get tedious if we get a 3000 post topic, heh

[Links] Compilation of Useful Mume Pages
If you know of a page that isn't listed here and includes acceptable (read: not identified gear lists, etc) information please PM me so that I can include it in this list! (I'll have to check and see if its okay to link to really old sites that have such information still) Vote for MUME ! | Wiki I w...

Re: Roleplaying within MUME - Remember to roleplay?
I'm a huge proponent of reducing xp-loss on all forms of death to bring it more in line with other modern MMORPGs. I feel that the chance of eq-loss (looting, corpse decay) and the run back are more than adequate humiliations for anyone who has spent hours leveling a character. Mume has gotten away ...

Re: More sub Forums
Guide subforum for general guides that don't give away "secret" information about MUME (no smob/quest guides!)
Off the top of my head we still need a guide for gear if anyone is feeling up to the challenge

Re: HOWTO: Advanced Character Statistics
Thanks for the input, both of you! I'll be sure to update the post as more information becomes available since most of it is just hearsay. One of the great things about MUME is that stats used are often very linked to playstyle which is why so many people often disagree with the stats. I tend to fle...

Optimized Character Statistics Here is a list of statistics that I'll slowly build up as people submit them. Most of these stats should be tweaked in a stat generator and then also adjusted using train to the player's preferences. If you want to submit your stats just send me your base stats (type ...

[HowTo] Advanced Character Statistics
Introduction Ever since NEWS 2157 characters in MUME have been able to improve and neglect base abilities as a replacement for partial rerolls that were previously given out after a month of retirement. This "training reroll" acts as a second partial reroll along with the "retirement partial reroll...
