PowTTY and Laptop
hello,
I would like to play mume using my laptop and powtty.
how can I bind some keys to movement commands? (the laptop do not have a numeric keypad)
I would like to bind ò to west, à to south, ù to east and è to north
Any help will be appreciated

Re: PowTTY xpcounter help?
Reading from powwow documentation the \XXX notation is for inserting special characters in octal notation.
so \011 octal is 9 decimal and is the TAB char, and \015 octal is 13 decimal and is the CR char
Hope this helps

Re: Books to read
Donaldson is surely a must. I agreeI recently went on a Steven R. Donaldson binge
The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant: The Unbeliever
Terry brooks novels are on my shelf also (read in youth)
Douglas Adams is surely another must, but I think that Mumers have read him already.

Re: Binary Storing Data in Itself
In my experience is not always a good idea to store data in an executable file, unless you have some kind of support from target OS/Compiler. Under windows you can use resources and under MacOS you can use resources too (write to resource fork of a file) I don't know if under linux/unix there is sup...

Re: Odd moments in RL caused by MUME
I was looking at the quiz, I wasn't one of the quiz players. I'm already sharing all what I can (nothing )
The amazing is that even from a game like mume, you have always to learn something!

Re: Wiki pages are up
What about the existing mume wiki? (maintained and hosted by I don't remember who)
I would be nice to merge that info in a unique wiki (this one)

Re: Odd moments in RL caused by MUME
Some days ago, in a Television Quiz I was looking at, a multiple choice question (worth 70.000 €) was about what kind of animal is a Water Mocassin!
I was the only that knew the answer!!!
Amazing

Will these forums host logs too?
Are we going to have logs on the official MUME site?
