Yeah, 'cause I don't know my combos .
So remind me again, Azazello, pure warrior, right?

Re: Redesigning MUME.org web page
I actually _tried_ to make a "newbie map" of Fornost. I figured the only way to make it work is to make it in semi 3d. I tried making one out of Fornost and Old Fornost, I succeeded, but it took a lot of work. Any ideas how to make maps for newbies without revealing too much? I'm more than willing t...

Re: Game mechanics basically
I wear cloth as my mage :) But I'd rather have the chance to dodge and land a spell than absorb 5 hps. I'm just saying it is not worth it to be a pure class. My charming(!), bashing(!), caster(!), warrior(!), bashes just as fast. I out bashed a troll, he fled once and he was dead. Sure, he was level...

Game mechanics basically
So, I play a level 71 warrior, which is cool. I like him being a warrior, because I get a few more hps than every other character. And that is seriously all I get from practicing warrior skills. I have EVERYTHING practiced in the warrior guild, except a few pracs in cure light and bless (5 ob is dow...

Re: After reading through a number of guides...
Actually, 9 strength isn't that bad! You just can't wear chain or metals. I rather like the spiffy look of a mage who wears tattered cloth, fine grey and a circlet. Walking around lookin' snappy in his brand new smooth shoes, wielding a gem-inlaid staff that shines with a bright light and calls fort...
Re: Safespots
But there re-heeeee-heeeaallyyyyy are too many safespots in this game. Unless you have sneak. Which was changed. Excellent.Azazello wrote:of course everyone with haf a clue finished off pukes in forsaken inn. the dead is that this awfully powerful mob is totally out of context.

Out of Curiosity: What Colour Are Your Enemies?
The worst part of "cha col all def" isn't that it's a hard command to find. It's that all the enemies start out as bright white text! I've seen some odd colours during my lab days, green on white, black on white and even red on yellow (Zaber used it for a session I think). I instantly have to change...

Re: What would you change?
More rentplaces so that i could actually have time to play and explore this game with my bussy schedule What do you mean by that? It takes a maximum of 5 minutes to run from Isengard to Tharbad or Rivendell. And that's about the most remote place I can think of. My assumption is that he's kind of n...

Re: What would you change?
I'd take back old ABR, old Swept and some other areas which included less 6*6 rooms. remove the areas east of NOC and move the bears to new areas north of Trollshaws. And a starting place for humans down in Dunland.
