You can do this under the preferences on the general page.Jycherok wrote:How do I enable the displaying of room names?
Everything is working fine except for that.

Re: Should I just find another MUD?
Well I want to get a char. to a high enough level where I can see what PK'ing is like. I've been in a couple battles but I was always the lowbie and got smoked. Around what level can I try (and fail) at pvp? You can start to hold your own around hero level. I would highly recommend to stay of PKing...

Re: powwow - spell subs
This is a rather trivial action, you can look at how they do actions for herbs and you will get an idea of how it would be done with spells. #action houdha={#print ($last_line + " (Earthquake)")} If you want it in exactly the same way you described you would need something like: #action ^$1 utters t...

I agree with Elestir. Also, I updated the thread's subject to better reflect the topic.

Re: Aldereons Quest.
I believe just asking him 'letter' or 'replacement' or 'lost' will do the trick. I had this done once before and it was fairly easy to get a replacement.

Re: mmapper and powtty problem
There are bugs with the mapper when you run it in mapping mode (solution is to save, and save often, when you are in mapper mode). I haven't had the chance to track them all down, but the mapper is very stable when you run it in play mode.

It sounds like you aren't playing in "spam on", "brief off", along with XML on. That tends to happen a lot then.

Re: [HowTo] Install mmapper2 on Windows (Mapper Guide)
Imo the best (easiest to use, but very practical) mapper out there... but one annoying bug - maybe it's just me, I don't know. At some certain areas all the rooms turn grey (showing no terrain etc.) and to temporarily fix it, I have to zoom out some for the terrain pictures and other stuff to appea...

Re: [HowTo] Install mmapper2 on Windows (Mapper Guide)
I might have a possible fix for you guys who are experiencing this Windows-only crash. Can someone who has the crash on connect bug test this binary and report if it works?
Thanks!

Edit: Nevermind, it doesn't work.

Re: [HowTo] Install mmapper2 on Windows (Mapper Guide)
I hit connect and PowTTY would get the MUME welcome message on the screen but the error message was a "network error: software caused connection abort", and then both programs would exit. Anyone have that problem before? I'm using windows XP There seems to be an issue with certain people's hardware...

Re: Mac MUME client?
I managed to get powwow to install without any problems on Mac OS X 10.5. If anyone wishes to build it themselves you can just run the following commands and it should work: ./configure make I was also able to build a universal binary for ppc and i386 macs version Mac OS X 10.4 and above. I had to u...
