Re: PowTTY logging.

I use this script to automatically log my last session:

Code: Select all

nschimme@cork:/usr/local/bin$ cat mume
#!/bin/bash
cd /mnt/games/powwow
powwow config.pow | tee -i logs/_last_session.txt

Re: Mac MUME client?

I will try to install powwow on my girlfriend's mac sometime. I will post instructions or perhaps even a binary then. Keep looking at this thread in the meantime :-) Edit: Noticed this thread on elvenrunes: http://elvenrunes.mine.nu/cgi-bin/logs/show.m?log=b60347,12659&disc=1&sort=1&snew=1&omode=pk&...

Re: Scout changes - ideas

Another idea to improve escape is that while escaping your dodge bonus goes up drastically so you avoid more hits as well. Seems a better incentive than crippling flee, I think. Shave off some 30% from the max-no-sneak delay + let escape have some impact on dodge... Even shaving off 25% of the down...

Re: Scout changes - ideas

(maybe little improvement of escape could be added in this respect; something like chances to dodge bash being twice as high while escaping) It would be cool if escape would let you have a higher chance to dodge bashes but still let you hit while you escaped. This would give thieves much more utili...

I am guessing you got infected by some virus, but I can definitely assure you that it was not because of MMapper or Sourceforge.

Re: Mmapper unable to connect - need to update configuration

MMapper 2.0.4 Final will automatically adjust the address to the correct, updated one. If you are uncertain how to do this, just upgrade.

Re: MMapper 2.0.4 Final Released

The problem with the CPU usage was an old bug regarding Qt versions greater than 4.3. I have repackaged MMapper 2.0.4 Final with Qt 4.3 and uploaded them onto Sourceforge. Redownload the package (it is known as final2) if you are experiencing a slowdown, otherwise you are not affected and should be ...

I believe he is using some Unix-only headers. I haven't tried seeing if it will indeed work with MingW, perhaps it will.

I didn't write the code for the reroll calculator (it is a multi-player effort). Elestir is right, the code isn't perfect, but its close to working :-)

Re: MMapper 2.0.4 Beta Released

You could possibly in linux if you pipe the data using netcat and emulate a telnet server. You run this command: movie_play <logfile> | nc -p 23 -l Then in your mapper you change the address of the server to localhost:23 and then connect to your mapper with your client. Your client will then get the...

Re: Help with MMapper2

The map included map is very accurate for most zones. Once you get into hairy spots like Moria or Ost-in-Edhil I would recommend doing some re-mapping.

Re: Perception: vision, hearing and smell

I'm pretty sure vision, hearing, and smell is affected by the current room and weather. I don't believe it is random, since it would be most likely tied to the perception stat.

Re: MUMEDings Request

I think what he is looking for is something that adjusts the font for specific parts of the line. I believe you would need a client that supports such a feature (and none do that I know of)
