I ran into a problem myself.
I can't seem to get mmapper2 to save settings under Linux except when I'm running under root. It's bizarre. I have made sure all the flags are correct and that I own the permissions where its being executed and it simply won't save the settings when I restart the mapper.

Same reason why mobdeath gives -xp. It discourages people from playing the game ?Gravity wrote:Can someone clarify why drowning dting gives -tp? not that it is a huge problem but it seems like that only discourages people from exploring new areas.

They were supposed to be matted locks of hair. Making the troll ended up quite difficult since I wasn't very good at doing ceramics then

Re: Some Sleeping Inconveniences
It doesn't have to be forceful wakefulness.
It could be something along the lines of:
You dream about someone yelling about '(random words taken from yell)'
You stir in your sleep as you hear the noises of combat.

the number of lights in the room and how much you're carrying is very important these daysDak wrote:It is rather ridiculous how hard it is to stab mobs nowdays. 109% backstab and still getting sensed 20+ times in a row is not right.

Re: Testmume feedback on scout changes revision 2
The main problem is that the change to sneak is unnecessary. Sneaking, after all, can be countered by going paranoid. Sneak to a thief is like armour/shield to a caster. Without it they're mincemeat.

Re: Test-mume feedback on scout changes
After some more testing I discovered that: The new escape isn't all that bad for XP. It makes backstab/flee very relaxing. You can still fail escapes with 108% skill. This resulted in me eating a bash. This is a big NO. When paniced thieves will run and hide rather than fight. This doesn't solve the...

Re: Test-mume feedback on scout changes
I agree with Razoor that this will make fighting thieves scarce since thief pk consists of: Not being seen (read: no panic flag) and then backstabbing Picking your prey into a three room closable and sneak, shoot fleeing them dead before they can kill you. As of right now the only thing keeping thie...

I strongly disagree with your mage ranges. You definitely need more Per and less Str.

Re: Wiki pages are up
I updated the wiki some more
I'm getting pretty good at this wiki scripting idea so hopefully I'll be able to get a lot more structure up over the next couple weeks (categories, navigation panels, etc)

Re: Wiki pages are up
Excellent work Ilie! :P I've already created a bit of a structure for the page but its proving rough with my limited wiki knowledge so I'll have to get back to that later when I have more time. With the entire population of mume now having access to every detail we should be able to have a top-notch...
