Deep mines of the Blue Mountains
The dorf foreman would let me in, but can anyone tell me how hard this area is? Could a 14 mage manage himself solo in there?

Re: Introduce Yourself
I play Vortenos (cleric) and Ealanwe (mage). I am middle-aged and live in Wisconsin, U.S.A. I am married and have a 2-1/2 month old and a 9-year-old step-son in the house, along with a dog that likes to sit on my keyboard. I started Muding when in college some 15 years ago, mostly LPs. I was an admi...

Re: Recent changes, a bright future ahead
I have no experience playing a scout, but I've played lots and lots of other MUDs and graphical MMORPGs and I can say this: no one likes their class being nerfed.

Re: Prioritizing bugs
Whats the story behind that? I heard discussion of that in narrate. Sounds like 2-3 trolls were pushing a battering ram to Bree when something happened on the OER?
Re: whining
On my mage character and considering hunting darkies, should I practice "find the path"? Or practice track?

Negative Effects of Cross-Class Practicing
How does the negative effects of cross-class practicing work? What actually happens? How much can you train in another class before it hurts you? I ask this trying to figure out how much weapon skill and cross-class spells I can do. I see posts warning of prac'ing too much, but no description of the...

Re: Is This Abuse?
I'd label that "player abuse". Though, if they are non-aggressive that would be a sweet room to mop up loads of xp.

PowTTY help
I was reading some fight logs of Brolg's online, and maybe I should just ask him, but maybe someone else can help too. He uses a couple things I saw that are very sweet and I'd like to set up my client to do similar things, but after reading the help file am still somewhat confused how it worked. He...

What is a 'puke'?
Terminology lesson needed. What is a 'puke'? And how did it get that name if anyone knows? This, and other shibboleths, could be added to the Wiki.

Re: Voluntary deletion?
My experience is mostly in LPMuds, but there it was a simple 'rm <filename>' from an administrator. I am only recently returning to MUDing after a decade in graphic games, but I vaguely recall that Diku's store players differently (I never coded on a Diku). Perhaps one of the Valar can help.

Re: Weapon weights
Pounds, as weapon weights are expressed on the MUME Wiki, are alright. But how does this compare to the units used on such pages as Jahara's http://nschimme.tripod.com/items.htm?

Weapon weights
Is there an easy way to tell if a weapon is too heavy for my character to wield, without having to buy it and find out the hard way?
I can get the weapon weight, I think from a chart here: http://tabris23.tripod.com/. How can I compare that to my STR?
