Re: Powwow Questions
Using tee and netcat you can do some pretty cool exporting of your current session... kind of creating mume tv for someone else to watch! Locally you run mume: powwow config.pow | tee -i session.log Then you export the file to some client. I am using localhost and port 4000 as the destinat...

Re: The MUD Client "How do I do that?" thread
I moved the topic to the other forum since it isn't really game-related, but a general client question thread. Here are my REALLY old settings from back in '99: #ALIAS loot+ {#T+ Autoloot} {Auto} #ALIAS loot- {#T- Autoloot} {Auto} #ALIAS bash+ {#T+ Bash} {Auto} #ALIAS bash- {#T- Bash} {Auto} #ALIAS ...

Powwow Questions
I've been using #capture and #movie and noticed that the logs don't seem to capture any of the "screen output" such as my special actions and the like. It only seems to capture the raw text coming directly from the mud. Is there any way to change this?

Re: Redesigning MUME.org web page
I have been working on the MUME wiki pretty heavily over the past few days. If any of you want to log on and update some of the pages (or change the design, because right now thats what I'm mostly doing) feel free too. Hopefully we can eventually have the wiki replace the main website.

Re: What would you change?
Both of you bring up some good points, but let me just say that the difference in levels and gear is VERY apparent in WoW. +/- 3 levels in WoW spells death for the other person as well as +/- 2 levels when it comes to their gear. What I'm really trying to say is that after getting to level 70 it onl...

Re: What would you change?
I agree with Ulixes, if you reduce gains after lvl25 you will have the problem of people losing motivation to play because "there's nothing much to gain anyway". I mean, look at the lvl100 characters as examples. Only a few (Woland, Stolb) have played their characters after reaching lvl100, others ...

Log on Cetra and find out what happened. Hopefully you didn't do something dumb like give away the password to your account, right?

Re: Introduce Yourself
Hello, I'm Jahara, or in real-life, Nils. I'm 23 years old and have been playing Mume on-and-off since the fall of '99. My god has since reached the rank of Mb and I am currently working on the Dol Guldur and quest projects. I am probably mostly well known for my stat generator, although I have also...

Re: Recent changes, a bright future ahead
what exactly is the notable difference between giving a Vm C-access and promoting the Vm to A? This is my opinion and understanding of the matter, but that old method requires an Implementor to log on to promote a character. By lowering the access requirements the old system is being bypassed rathe...

Re: Recent changes, a bright future ahead
The word is that Ilie has been moving into a new house which is keeping him from continuing a strict development path towards the other class updates. Other than that I haven't heard much about the other V+ but that shouldn't let any of you down. A couple Valar were given C access which is unprecede...

Re: [HowTo] Install mmapper2 on Windows (Mapper Guide)
It's most likely a texture problem. See if you can go into your driver settings and move the quality slider to whatever is the maximum or if you can make a customized profile for mmapper2 where everything is at the best quality. I know that fixed some of my problems with Intel Extreme (i.e. Shittast...
Re: whining
You're experiencing a normal bout of MUME's famous "rl depression" which comes after dying. Usually it only happens with mobdeaths, but I have also had it occur during unfair pkdeaths. It should disappear in a couple days
