Re: What would you change?

I would like to see a remortal system, for several reasons such as it makes a level cap irrelevant and it would result in many more low-levels xping. It would also make it possible to make your character more unique. Example on how a remort system could work (and im not saying this is the best way -...

Re: What would you change?

Setting a level cap is a possibility, but this is merely a problem for PvE players since they have no amusement for continuing play after level 25. PvP players will always have the warpoint system for their amusement so levels aren't nearly as important there. Since you're not speaking from experie...

Re: Warriors and spells

I've never met a group of enemies using arachnia. Honestly. Perhaps they're more common today, but only poison-using people I've met are solo scouts. Also, the warrior of mine I've played most is a dwarf. Dwarves have a natural resistance against poisons and imo it is strong enough that I can peace...

Re: Ingame mechanics of following

I thought the delay for the leader happened before you were moved into the next room, not once you were in it. If so this whole argument is flawed. I'll see if I can find a bunch of mounts or something and verify though ;)

Re: Movies to watch

Parrafin, the movie you're talking about is probably "There will be blood"? It was very well received by the critics and alot of people seemed to love it. I thought it was kind of boring I'm afraid ;)

Re: Recent changes, a bright future ahead

What I'm worried about is that the people who keep praying stuff like "gg you fucked up the game, buhu" will result in people losing motivation. I really hope that won't happen though. Keep going strong! If something you don't like happens, argue for changes here on the forum, and post in a reasonab...

The north is only an empty wasteland if you think gundabad, grey mountains, ettenmoors, the lands of the hillmen etc are not interesting places ;)

Re: Link cap

130--170 ms is a good number because a person with DSL/cable in the US can get that connection1 Sure, I may be only thinking about myself, but Americans make up the majority of the players. Source about 50.01%+ of the playerbase being american? Besides, a link cap would do nothing to improve your l...

Re: Link cap

I understand that it is annoying to play on a slow link. I've played on a 150ms dialup modem. The game is much more enjoyable on 40ms. So truly, I do have sympathy. However, I do not think the good of the game as a total, and the fairness in PK situation for people with slow links are the same thing...

Seriously though I get what you're saying.

I've just never found the 'I'm suffering so you should suffer too' argument very interesting.

Re: Link cap

You mean cap it so people with a ping above 100 gets disconnected? Sure, it could be done. I think it would reduce mume's playerbase though!

Re: Test-mume feedback on scout changes

Ugurz ideas are almost all well thought through and balanced. I would still go with Relim's #2 though, forget about these changes. That would depend a little on what the management is trying to achieve here, wouldn't it? Maybe they think sneak-shoot in small areas is a problem. I really can't see w...

Re: Test-mume feedback on scout changes

On the subject of sneak when panic wears off, how would this work: Change autosneak - toggles autosneak on and off When off - it does nothing When on - if you were sneaking when you got the -panic flag, you will automatically turn sneak on again when the -panic flag wears off? That way people could ...

Re: Test-mume feedback on scout changes

Otherwise we have some very fucked up immo making up stupid ideas becasue he/she is not smart enough to avoid backstabs... When you feel the urge to write something like this, you probably feel pretty strongly about it. The stronger you feel about something, the more important is it that people act...

Re: Test-mume feedback on scout changes

o Panic duration has been reduced Panic still last a bit long imho. About one minute. it would not hurt to cut it down to 30-45 seconds. An hour (gametime) of panic after a short fight feels long. Not game breaking though if escape was tweaked (see below). o Escape now takes HALF as long as it used...

Re: Test-mume feedback on scout changes

These were the changes: o Panic duration has been reduced o Escape now takes HALF as long as it used to o Flee (manual, wimpy & fear spell) cancels sneak - This means: flee direction is seen o Moving out of a room when hidden takes a little more time, during this time you're more vulnerable to seek/...

Re: Out of Curiosity: What Colour Are Your Enemies?

Until now, the only colour I used was on room names. I'll give enemies a try though, I'll test with them as white and see if this makes playing smoother!

I like it. Warriors and thieves wants to be youngish rather than 35+. Excellent change.
