Re: Some Sleeping Inconveniences

It would probably be more convenient to change your description while sleeping, but for the love of everything holy Wobbler - what's your problem? You're flooding the forum with very obscure and pointless topics. Please make some kind of internal sanity-check before making a new topic. It is a mino...

Some Sleeping Inconveniences

1. I cannot quit while asleep, even if the sleeping was done voluntarily.
2. I cannot initiate a change description while asleep, but I can while in combat; I can, however, change my editor preference or finish a local edit cha desc session while asleep.

Awareness

1. Does Awareness below 95% have any effect at all, or does 94.99% equal 0%?
2. If it does have an effect, is it one that can actually be noticed by regular mortals?

Account Output Oddity for the 36th Character

When I use the "account" in-game command or the "list" command while logged in to my account only, I often get an odd break with inconsistent output before the 36th character. It will be either be blank line and then a new prompt (!) followed by the auto-delete time and last host for the 30th charac...

Re: Safespots

I generally agree with the principle, but that innkeeper is a very poor example, since being just a single, non-hunting mob, it is far from impossible for a solo darkie to finish off a low opponent who seeks refuge in there. However, such places as LB fortress, DT, VT and Brolg have too strong garri...

Re: Recent changes, a bright future ahead

Opening up a test version to regular mortals to gather constructive feedback prior to main implementation was a particularly good idea.
If one has to nag, it might have been an even better idea to keep it open for a full 24 hour cycle to allow players from all continents to participate.

Re: Travel Points

The worst part is probably the extreme amount of never before visited wilderness rooms that give 0 WPs; particularly annoying when they are behind a hidden door. If TPs are meant to force people to travel into and explore areas they would otherwise not be interested in visiting, going off the beaten...

Re: Mending and Reboots/Crashes

This seems like a very poor system, particularly as the old system contained a natural protection from this.

Re: Town Justice Problems

6. Guard type mobs will sometimes give warnings after the target player has left the room (this is far from the only mudlle that can trigger after the target player has left, btw). This seems to count towards the number of warnings a player gets before becoming wanted (dead), which can theoretically...

Mending and Reboots/Crashes

What happens if I give my equipment to a shopkeeper for mending, my character is saved and there is a crash or reboot?

Town Justice Problems

1. When Tharbad gate guards chase Orcs or Trolls inside the town they are just as likely to hit whitie players fighting the Orcs they are chasing, causing other guards to assist them and thus actually help the Orc or Troll they are chasing. Suggestion: Recode the gateguards so they are not aggressiv...

Re: Areas of Future Expansion

I've always thought it would be fun to have some sort of direct connection between Fornost and the Warrens or Hillmen area, but there isn't really much to put in there. Perhaps, if an Angmarian area is made that connects to W and maybe also the zone west of Z, a westward expansion could serve as a s...

Re: [Project] Supermobs

The problem is that I can roam the area unhindered thanks to my link, whereas there are many who have died in there even with a decent group because they got separated by the randomexits and then died because of their slower link. Lord is probably the most link-dependant smob of them all, probably e...

Re: [Project] Supermobs

If there are any changes made to supermobs, it would be great if they are not of the kind that creates Lord-like mobdeathtraps for slowlinked players. I also have some ideas for how one could change the Lord area into something less link-dependant, although it hardly makes it more "interesting" or "...

Re: Link cap

I'm not sure, but I think Ilie would happily supply the remote server source to any coder willing to debug it. That way we could end up with remote servers on every continent all connected to enhance the gaming experience for everyone. Wobbler: 150 ms would be unfair to everyone playing on 200 ms? W...

Re: Link cap

Ask for a copy of the remote server code, fix the bugs, and I'm sure there will be servers set up on different continents that will improve people's links.

I don't care about my ping to any American server, there isn't anythign good enough on offer over there anyway.
