Odd moments in RL caused by MUME

Well, I'm sure I'm not the only one to have used lingo from MUME in a conversation with someone who doesn't play. Thats always kind of funny. For instance, when I first started playing a lot I said "say hey dad" to my dad.

Most recently, after reading all of the [idea] threads on the general board, I threw a blanket down on my bed next to some papers. The airflow caused by the blanket scattered the papers everywhere and I found myself wondering "I wonder if that feature could be removed..."

Anyone else done funny things like this?

Well , these kind of things happened to me but not because of mume :p . I work a lot with computer using graphic programs like illustrator , photoshop ... ect . These programs have a hot key ( ctrl + Z) to undo in case of mistake , And I remember once , I was cooking and I used too much spice so guess what I did ? I simulated Ctrl + Z with my fingers and was wondering why it doesn't work :p . Funny though ! :p

Some days ago, in a Television Quiz I was looking at, a multiple choice question (worth 70.000 €) was about what kind of animal is a Water Mocassin!
I was the only that knew the answer!!!

I have typed the say *text* in MSN more times than ill admit (mostly when drinking) or running both windows. Luckily the people normally play or know I do so just laugh

at work, i've been listening to the LOTR dramatized BBC radio play (pretty good except for some of the singing) and somehow i'm always relating it to MUME in my head. for instance, when merry and pippin have been captured by orcs, i wondered to myself: how do those orcs have so many mvs? i also wonder what kind of effect the one ring would have to someone who wore it in MUME? i was thinking it would be like a stat multiplier, but also make hobbits invisible, give mages infinite mana, whatever other awesome effect seems appropriate...

i listened to the part with the mouth of sauron today and delighted in the fact that he was a black numenorean. i wanted to chase him around like i always do to those stinkin BNs...

I'd say I'd rather encounter a water moccasin or rattlesnake on MUME than in real life. Man, I hate coming across rattlesnakes, and it's only happened to me once.

If you don't mess with them they generally leave you alone, same as most snakes. =P

Perhaps there is some magnetic lay-line under your house that screws up compasses and computers. I'd watch out for falling airplanes.

Probably the oddest moment in real life caused by MUME was me meeting Mhoghedin, doing stupid things, getting lost for 40 miles within 10 minutes of my house, and being kicked out of the China Buffet.
