Re: Recent changes, a bright future ahead

"Hiding have never been overpowered, it's just ju dumb fucks who never figured out how to smoke a hiding scout out of his spot. There's something called awareness you can practise, ever heard of it? In combination with sense life and you can find any hider in no time, without the hiding person even ...

Re: whining

If you want to play hobbit thief because of some roleplay reason that gives you a good experience, you're more than welcome to do so. If you however want a class that lets you learn the game well, I'd suggest either a Man warrior (good sturdy warriors that lets you ride real horses that has better m...

A tiny start would be to remove the patrols outside brolg, at least reduce them to 1 patrol.

Re: Recent changes, a bright future ahead

Now, returning to the issue: In my opinion, the actual consequence of the changes has been to render scouts harder to play by slower linked (non-europe based) people. Instead of rushing into changes what the management needs to do first is: 1. figure out if scouts are still played as frequently as ...

Re: Recent changes, a bright future ahead

Good that we agree on the first point, that there is no "real" way to play scouts. Ugurz doesn't stand for any universal or correct way of playing scout (thank god). I wasn't trying to get myself into any "whats rp or not" kind of discussion because frankly, I don't think it is all that important. B...

Re: Recent changes, a bright future ahead

Thats what i said Edvard, there is a reason scouts usually runs when they are detected. Scouts need some advantage that make them more able to hold their ground in a fight. you do realize that the term scout denotes someone who attacks or watches from afar not someone who stand toe to toe with a wa...

Re: Recent changes, a bright future ahead

I just hunted Sethanon around as Ethne, lvl 53 mage, with 2 eagles. Now disregarding that 2 eagles is utterly overpowered, I felt a difference in the pursuit of the scout. He used rivers and forests and hid from me, and it took me about 10 minutes to get him wounded and he ran into zoc as I was icy ...

Re: Question about mobdeath penalty (not complaint)

I guess no one will pk if it means age loss for each death :p That's true if you are actively engaging in pk. But if you are not and you are just doing your own questing, etc., being killed in a random pk encounter should not be that different than being killed by the mewlip in the marshes, IMHO. S...

Not that I believe I "cry and moan" very much, i'm usually pretty indifferent when it comes to mume, but there are always shades of grey. No one is perfect, I'm certainly not, but I do distinguish between what I consider genuin lame behaviours and temporary lame actions. I think i've found a pretty ...

While I think that new changes should make it easier to die, I feel like that can be taken care of in other ways. I like this idea alot!

Sure Snarp, gac and burn all you want. Regardless of link cap or not, you can always kill me easier then I can kill you. Because you're a wimp and I'm not. You've just chosen link to justify your wimpyness to yourself and others, if link cap were implemented, you'd find some other excuse. I play the...

Re: Link cap

I dont think this idea is too bad. I mean sure, I'd loose on it, but if it would shut some people up maybe that'd be worth it. Then again I play just the same way when i'm downloading a movie which slows my connection down to 150-200ms. And i'm sure Snarp would keep his backstab-run technique and ma...

Re: Keep at bay

Btw I had two different fights mixed up in my head, it was against another high lvl orc in fullset, Storan, that I had keep at bay work ridiculously good and I'm pretty sure i would've won alltogether if I had kept fleeing around. And thats just wrong in my opinion.
