Re: Test-mume feedback on scout changes
Maybe management should clarify what they see as a problem with thieves/scouts. For now these are problems I see: Flushing in a room doesn't always prevent sneakers to pass through. Spamrevealing is tedious. Awareness is almost useless. (too unreliable and too costly) Inconsistency of sneak effectiv...

Re: Test-mume feedback on scout changes
While I didn't test it on test mume, let me comment on one of the ideas... Taking away the sneak from scouts affected by panic is interesting idea, yet it could be way too harsh, as someone mentioned already. Sneaking is undoubtely the primary skill of any scout, and inability to use this skill when...

Re: I Know More than Everything!
Just consider 100% an index relative percentile. At 100% in a skill, your skill level is exactly 100% of the index. The index in turn being an indicator for when somebody is "really, really good" at the skill. There you go, problem solved. That would work only if your proficiency in a skill was bas...

Re: What would you change?
As long as fleeing (leaving the room) is the only effective and easily accessible way of interrupting bashes and spells, ppl will hit-flee, it's easy as that. Even vs group of nonbashing warriors/scouts, hit-fleeing gives advantage, as they can get melee on next attempt to engage, but not if they ar...

Re: Enslaved shadows
Making life easier for evil whities is not one of my priorities, sorry. If this is too much to ask, then don't make it easier for evil whities. Just make it fair and let the affected chars prac command. I just suggested easier solution. And btw, it wouldn't make life to potentially evil c...

Re: Enslaved shadows
Hey Gothmog, could you please, while you are at it, increase also the number of available pracs in command to evil aligned whities? The only place where command can be learnt enough is Rivendell atm. So bit more pracs in BM, Fornost, or Vale of Anduin, etc. would be really nice (I'd vote for BM, but...

Re: Search, Reveal and Flush
Being stabbed while revealing/flushing is a very common complaint From my own experience this is only possible if you started your reveal too late (i.e. 0.5 sec or less before the actual backstab landing time). In cases that could end like that I usually move out of the room rather than risking tha...

Re: [Project] Supermobs
I think the direction it should take would be making the smobs doable with weaker groups (perhaps even soloable), but at the cost of time required to kill it. That way, it will be more fun, as you won't have to "skip" it for the lack of groupmembers, and at the same time you will give better opportu...

Re: What would you change?
I would make linkless flag visible again and I would also add a new option for "change" command which when enabled would prevent attacking of a linkless target. Actually for players who would have said feature disabled, the linkless status would remain ignored. And changing the said feature would be...

Re: Survey: World problems
Most of these repop problems would be solved, if some special message showed shortly before the actual repop. (30 secs?) Something like: " You have a ticklish sensation. " Also people who would enter the zone which is about to repop in less than those 30 secs would get this (or some other) special m...
