*[ W>Tell Trample I got jailed for my 'linkdrop action
Ok.

Trample tells you 'awwww'

*[ W>
Trample tells you 'why is that? help linkdrop even says you can use a client to stop voiding'

*[ W>help linkdrop
"CHANGE LINKDROP" LINKDROP

"Change linkdrop" sets an inactivity limit on a connection (in seconds). When enough time
elapses without any command having been sent, the connection is automatically closed - just as
if you had voluntarily dropped link.

Automatic linkdrop is handled just as if you had voluntarily broken link: it will set your
wimpy level to maximum, and it will make you void faster unless you have noquit or novoid.

If your link is shaky this feature may be worth using to ensure you get the linkless flag
quickly (due to the vagaries of the internet MUME often cannot detect that you have lost link
for several minutes otherwise). Some players combine this feature with a client-trigger on the
timeout warning message ("WARNING: inactivity timeout").

Automatic linkdrop is off by default; you turn it on by specifying a timeout in seconds. A
timeout of zero switches auto-linkdrop off again. Whenever you rent or MUME reboots/crashes,
timeouts are switched off again.

So, whut does it all mean? Can I use a client trigger as suggested by the help file, or does the 'obscure' rule (which one?) trump the help file?

As far as I understand, you are allowed to use linkdrop actions to remain online as long as you are not AFK. If you go AFK, you have to turn it off.
With the improved mume-side linkloss detection, it is probably better not to use the linkdrop feature at all.
Politicians are wise and benevolent and will gladly sacrifice themselves for the common good. Anyone who implies that there might exist dishonest politicians is obviously a terrorist who should be locked up indefinitely without a trial.

You had been online for 12 hours, idling for about 10 of those. With linkdrop and auto-eat, auto-drink, auto-stand actions every 30th sec.

I had mailed you before, when you had been in chamber of trolls for 15 hours, but you didn't respond, and certainly didn't change. So I put you in jail so that you wouldn't ignore mails or tells this time.

Anti-idle actions are ok while you play, but they aren't meant to keep you online forever.
