MUME III was released in February 1993, and contained a number of new features: 

  * Mudlle, MUME's online programming language
  * Weather system
  * Shops
  * 1-100 playable levels
  * MUME Protocol for clients, allowing remote editing
  * Diseases
  * Justice system
  * Troll race
  * Travel points
