Proposal for new "split" for spells.
- Type 1 is a fighting enchanter/mage
- Energy generation; personal protection; enchantment;
- Type 2 is a wandering wizard/shaman
- beguile/find/transport other; nature/environment;
- Type 3 is a "support caster"/healer/cleric
- bless/curse; heal/harm; divine;
It should be easier for either 1 or 3 to pick up spells from type 2, than for 1 or 3 to pick up spells from each other.

Remove / Rethink
- Create Food - a low-level spell, which can allow a player to ignore many items and processes.
- Detect Poison - nearly useless, and even moreso if "Poison" (see below) is removed.
- Poison - 2 spells in one: "Slow recovery", and "poison food and drink (containers)". Probably needs to be rethought.
- Colour Spray - While Saruman may have been "of many colours", I don't believe that he would have shared such visual magic, even with BNs. This should be renamed/repurposed, at the very least:
- Black Breath - While uniquely Tolkien-ish, This was reserved for the 9. The dark lord wouldn't trust this to just any followers. If kept, BN-only, per precedent of the 9, with the idea that this "gift" is both what's helping to "turn" the BNs to his side, and a "sign" that they have.
- Call Familiar - If kept, should be BN-only spell.
- Chill Touch - There is a vagueness in the name as to whether this "chill" is a result of "cold/ice" or "negative energy". Plus, this, like the other "touch/grasp" spells, should be renamed. If kept, should probably be BN only.
- Energy Drain - Is this really a good idea? If kept, maybe consider this an advanced form of "Black Breath". Else pair this up with Chill Touch as "negative" attacks. Or both. (Updating text messages in any case.)
- Raise Dead - Confusing name. Resurrection? Animation? Summon shadow? This should be a bit more obvious to those who can select it.
