FORNOST, FORNOST ERAIN

Once, Fornost (Q. "northern fortress") Erain (Q. "of the kings"), was the seat of the kings of Arthedain (between Amlaith and Arvedui). In 1974, Fornost was captured by the Witch-king and ruined. Today, a smaller part of the city has been partially rebuilt.
