Here are a few Old in Game maps that are floating around.

More than just a blast from the past, each symbol is a zone, and can give you some idea of when and how Mume has grown over time.

Things to note -
Warrens is much closer to Rivendell than its present location (and 3 zones for the present location are under construction.
Eregion does not yet join to Tharbad in the South.
Forlond is disconnected from the Blue Mountains.
ABR is a single zone in width, apart from a kink half way. It shows evidence of what was probably a race to reach all the way down to Moria at some stage in the past.
Bottom left is a single Mountain Zone - Is this Valinor before the world was bent?
I may have miscounted - but it looks like there are 118 zones marked in the map. Moria was said to be 1400 rooms itself in 1996, so all together Mume was about 13,200 rooms at the time.

The date is pretty much right - abt the 6th of June give or take a day or so.
Things to note -
Warrens has moved to its present site and the region around it has been released.
Eregion now continues on to Tharbad, however 3 zones in the North are still under construction.
2 zones now link Forlond to the Blue Mountains via a very tenuous corner. The third zone is not complete.
A single zone on the North end of ABR is under construction - widening it from its former spindly length.
Construction on the beginning of Anduin Vale has begun.
Bottom left a plain has been added to Valinor.

Things to note -
8 years have passed.
The North of ABR is now a 4x4 area 2 zones wide.
The Zorc caves have been added.
The loop of Isengard, Dunland and Fangorn has been completed.
Lothlorien is well on the way, but there is a large gap between there and the Anduin still. Work has only begun on bridging the gap.
A single zone - zone 190 lies unfinished just East of Redhorn pass.
Rohan is well in hand - although Emyn and Dol Guldur have not been commenced.
Valinor can no longer be viewed - the way that was straight has now been bent.

Things to note -
The gap between Lorien and the Vale has not yet been bridged - although the whole extent is now under construction - including some of the way to Dol Guldur.
Zone 190 is still incomplete, as is Rohan.
