GALADRIEL

Known as the Lady of Lothlórien, Galadriel is the keeper of one of the Three Rings of the Elves, Nenya.

Daughter of Finarfin and Eärwen, she came to Middle-earth as one of the leaders of the second host of the Noldor that rebelled against the Valar. She met Celeborn in Doriath and was later wedded to him; together they went eastward and founded the Noldorin realm of Eregion. After the fall of Eregion Galadriel took up rule in the Nandorin realm of Lórinand, also known as Lórien. It was Galadriel who brought mallorn-trees into Lórien.
