ARNOR
The northern of the two kingdoms of the Dúnedain,
Arnor (Ad. "The King's Land") contained all the land between the
River Lhûn in the west, the River Baranduin in the south-east, and the
Bay of Forochel in the north.
After the death of its eighth king Eärendur, his three sons divided the kingdom among them into Arthedain, Cardolan, and Rhudaur. The firstborn, Amlaith of Fornost, became the ruler of Arthedain.
