Blessing somebody will make that person more resistant to spells, and will make that person able to fight better.

On an object, the bless spell doesn't do much, but, I have heard that this spell can somehow be used when making the wands which the Istari and some legends carry.

It takes deep insight to master this spell; a brilliant mind and an iron will are important too.
