A stored spell, when cast, will take nearly no casting time. Plus, being hit with a normal weapon will not cause a mage to lose concentration while casting a stored spell. The number and power of the spells you can keep stored in your mind at one time depends on your mental strength, intelligence and magical power. Finally, a stored spell will be forgotten after 1 to 2 days.

A brilliant mind and deep insight are quite important when learning this.

Example:

  > cast 'store' fireball
